Brenda Bell

Spiritual Carer, Mindfulness Facilitator

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT BRENDA:

Brenda’s career background is in psychology, psychotherapy, business consulting and leadership development. For three decades she was involved supporting people and organisations in transition, change or crisis.

Since 2011 she has been working with cancer patients, being with and supporting them and their loved ones on the journey. This change was inspired by personal experience, in particular after her first melanoma diagnosis and surgery led to a deepening and transformation. Her interest in this area started much earlier, when in her mid 30s Brenda cared for her mother when she was dying of brain cancer.

Brenda is now a spiritual carer in palliative care with hospice and also in touch care. She has also maintained a meditation practice since her early 20s and is certified as a mindfulness teacher through Stellenbosch University Department of Family Medicine (2018). She facilitates mindfulness based programmes in a variety of settings, for groups and individuals. She is passionate about supporting people to make their own way with life threatening illness, with greater ease, resilience and compassion.
